The handyman killer who allegedly murdered Queens mom Orsolya Gaal went to a local Chipotle restaurant to use the restroom and get a glass of water just hours before he was arrested for her slaying.

David Bonola visited the chain’s Forest Hills location on Wednesday afternoon and was ‘as friendly as ever,’ employees said.

‘He was right here,’ a Chipotle worker told The New York Post on Saturday. ‘I was like, “Hey, where have you been? I haven’t seen you in a while.”

‘He was like “I’ve been here and there” and whatever. He wanted the bathroom code and a water cup and he left. He was no different than when I saw him [the last time].’

The restaurant’s manager claims Bonola had been a frequent customer of the eatery over the last three years and was a ‘superstar to all of us’.

Bonola, 44, allegedly slashed Gaal’s throat then stabbed her in the body more than 50 times in a fury on April 15. He then stuffed her body in her son’s hockey bag and wheeled it down the street in Forest Hills, Queens, leaving it for a dog-walker to find the next day.

New York Police Department (NYPD) officers arrested the Mexico City native, a married father-of-two, for the murder of Gaal – his on again, off again lover – Wednesday night.

He made a chilling confession to police, before eating a cream cheese bagel, according to sources cited by The Post

He was charged Thursday with murder, criminal tampering and criminal possession of a weapon.

Bonola stopped by the Chipotle on Austin Street around 1.30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Restaurant workers, who spoke to the Post on the basis of anonymity, claim Bonola was a frequent customer and usually ordered tacos. It is unclear if he ordered any food on Wednesday.

The staff claimed he was well-liked and treated them with respect, contradicting a claim made by nearby Starbucks barista who alleged Bonola would frequent the coffee shop and flirt inappropriately with workers.

‘He was extremely friendly,’ the Chipotle employee said of Bonola. ‘He would talk about his personal life, like his mom.

‘He gave my friend his personal guitar pick. He would write his music. He was a regular. It’s pretty unexpected that it would happen.’

Bonola was spotted by police later Wednesday night and brought in for questioning, where cops say he confessed to murdering Gaal in her home on April 16 shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday morning.

Gaal, 51, had hired Bonola to do handyman work for her. The pair had been having an on-off affair for two years before he allegedly murdered her with a kitchen knife in her basement last week, while her 13-year-old son was upstairs.

Surveillance footage captured just hours after her murder showed Bonola walking along 114th Street near his apartment in Richmond Hill, just after 6am on April 16.

He is seen with bandage wrapped around his left hand as he makes his way down the street before heading into his apartment.

Later that Saturday, Bonola allegedly headed to a CityMD in order to receive help for cuts on his hands. He was referred Bellevue Hospital after urgent care doctors said the wounds were too deep for them to treat.

Police said they received a call around 8.10am on Saturday for a report of ‘a suspicious bag with blood on it at the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and Jackie Robinson Parkway.’ The bag held Gaal’s body.

Cops then followed a trail of blood left by the dragged bag, leading back to Gaal’s home. They found son, Leo, inside unscathed and took him in for questioning, putting him in handcuffs, before letting him go later that day.

Gaal’s husband Howard Klein and her older son Jamie, who had been on the West Coast, rushed back. They have not been seen or heard from since.

Queens District Attorney Katz revealed on Thursday night that Bonola ‘slashed’ Gaal’s throat and then proceeded to stab her elsewhere on the body more than 50 times.

He had reportedly gone over to the home in an attempt to resurrect the affair as the relationship had come to ‘the end’.

‘Two boys are left without a mother and a young teenager faces the added trauma of being home when this heinous murder took place,’ Katz said in a statement.

‘As alleged, the defendant stabbed the victim over 50 times and then attempted to dispose of the body by stuffing it into a duffel bag and dragging it across a quiet residential neighborhood – leaving a trail of blood and a terrified community,’ she added.

The criminal complaint charging Bonola cites both surveillance video footage and his own ‘statements and admissions’ as evidence in the case against him.

He was spotted by police on Wednesday night and brought in for questioning, where cops say he confessed to murdering Gaal in her home.

Police sources who spoke with the New York Post say he spilled his guts in an entirely ‘matter of fact’ manner – and then proceeded to eat a bagel with cream cheese as if nothing had happened.

‘It was very matter of fact, very thorough, he answered every question they had,’ a police source told the newspaper. At no point did he request a lawyer.

Then, as he was put in a police car on Thursday in front of journalists asking why he killed her, he screamed: ‘F**k you motherf****r!’

Bonola has been living in the U.S. illegally after moving from Mexico 20 years ago. His estranged wife and children are believed to live in Queens with him.

NYPD detectives declined to comment on Bonola’s immigrant status but ICE has now filed a detainer with Queens Central Booking, where he is being held.

It is unclear if he will face additional charges related to his immigration status.
