The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas said Monday its president Robert Kaplan is resigning his post effective on Oct. 8. Mr. Kaplan acknowledged in a statement released by the bank that his stock trading distracted from the Federal Reserve’s work.
The disclosure followed news that Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Eric Rosengren will retire Thursday, about nine months early, citing health reasons, as the veteran policy maker was navigating a controversy over his trading in the financial markets.
